1. What do the words in the opening line of the Nicene Creed mean to you? Do you embrace them as written? How do you reconcile the words “one”, “holy”, and/or “catholic” with the way that Christianity looks today?
2. How do you understand the concept of “sacrament”? What aspects of our world/lives/church are sacramental to you?

I didn’t grow up knowing the Nicene Creed (Baptist). Not sure if I agree with all of the original. Not sure I agree with the various version throughout time. But, I generally agree with what it is trying to get at.
I don’t really have a problem with “one”. The way that I learned about the “trinity” as a child was similar to the concept of water – it can be water (God), ice (Jesus), or vapor (Spirit). Is that silly? I just think too many people have argued and fought over this concept, and the importance is that “I believe”.
